Colour Symbolism in German Female Literature

Abstract


The article deals with the analyses of colour symbols as an integral part in novel „Yohanna“ of Felicitas Hoppe. Its meaning is important for perceiving the main idea and the authors’ intentions and for adequate interpretation. Сolor may generate another level of meaning in the mind. The active use of colourative that acts as an epithet in the artistic space for a specific writer is a marker of his mental-lingual picture of the world.
