Abstract


The Danubian region of Ukraine is of research interest not only to historians, but also to fineart experts. This territory, also known as Ukrainian Bessarabia, is especially rich in talents which canbe easily explained by the integrity of different nations inhabiting the region. Diversity of traditionsand customs, folklore and culture has found its reflection in art. The article to be presented is focusedon the works of an outstanding contemporary Ukrainian painter and ceramist, member of the NationalUnion of Artists of Ukraine (since 2000), Elena Andreyeva-Sychiova, whose artistic interest lies in aspectrum of themes.
