Impact Of Human Resources Management On Entrepreneurship Development
Abstract
The decisive role played by HumanResources Management (HRM) in the emergence and sustenance of entrepreneurshipdevelopment in an organisation cannot be misplaced as itensures optimum deployment and development of personnel towards theactualization of set organisational objectives. Using a primary data sourcedthrough a well-structured and self- administered questionnaires served to sixtyHR managers and supervisors, and analyzed with descriptive statistics and Pearsonproduct moment correlation coefficient, this study investigates the role of (HRM) inentrepreneurship development. Thetested hypotheses revealed acorrelation coefficient of 0.44 which indicate the existence of a moderatepositive relationship between Human Resources Management (HRM) andentrepreneurship development. This indicates that HRM can facilitateentrepreneurship development in an organization. Hence HR managers must seek as much as possible measures that willensure that their human resource are adequately compensated, rewarded andmotivated to enhance their performance which will translate to improvedperformance that will influence the overall performance of the organisation.
