The Danube Region Poetry: Personalities and Creativity
Abstract
The article presents the material on the Danube region contemporary poets, whose work is
well known not only to the cultural circle of Izmail intelligentsia, but also outside the Danube region. From the many authors, regularly published in the anthology «Literary Izmail», the author singles out the creativite, works of Mikhail Vasilyuk, Leonid Andreyev, Vladimir Reva, Vladimir Vorobyov, Sergei Levin, Nadezhda Parshihina, Isabella Voronova. In addition to subjective associations on various topics, the works of these authors pay a particular interest to their native land, located in a picturesque region near the Danube River. Each of the poets offers his own version of the lyrics, which is the product of a talented individual inspiration coming from the subtle perception of the landscape beauties of the Danube.
