Drama identităţii scriitorilor români de limbă străină

Dumitru Tiutiuca

Abstract

Romanian writers of foreign languages are not a unique case. It is a widely encountered throughout the world, being the result of known historical realities. In the national literatures there were two types of authors, the ones who were born and lived in other countries, and those who have written in countries where they live in. Some of them began to win even the Nobel Prize for literature, as happened in 2001 when a Chinese, French teacher, Gao Xingjian won the prize. For the Romanian literature, however, such situation has become for writers more dramatic, being one of its great complexes. As the problems are numerous, we will develop one at a time.
