Petru Dumitriu entre Duplicité et Repentir. Une Approche Thématique de son OEuvre
Abstract
A significant name for postwar Romanian exile, Petru Dumitriu represents the typical case
of dual writer, regarding the behavioral and cultural point of view. The communist political system
has obliged him to this duplicity, so the act of late contrition was received with suspicion. Similarly
the break of the original Romanian culture was not interrupted by a full integration in the receiving
cultures (French and German). All these divisions create problems of perception and interpretation
that the communication science tries to decode.
