The economic crises of the last two decades - ignored warnings
Abstract
Analyzing the evolution of emerging economies, with their openness to foreign investments and increasing country risk, there is in the same time a high degree of international spread of crises. Unsustainable macroeconomic policies, the fragile financial system and disorderly capital account liberalization are factors that have contributed to facilitate rapid propagation of crisis on these economies through various channels.
