System of Teaching Speech Etiquette to the Schoolchildren of Secondary Schools of the Ukrainian Danube Region

Abstract


The article presents the description of the system of teaching speech etiquette to the schoolchildren of secondary schools in the Ukrainian Danube region. We pointed out the main methodical principles, methods and ways of improving pupils’ speech culture. We defined the whole complex of pedagogical conditions for efficient work aimed at mastering pupils’ speech etiquette, such as: organizational (diagnostics and definition of the level of pupils’ speech behaviour, maintenance  of systematic and consecutive work, realization of advisable leadership in the work, personal teacher’s example), technological (developing pupils’ motivation for mastering the language, stimulating pupils’ vivid cognitive activity, definition of interdependence between studying the linguistic units of different levels and developing pupils’ communicative and speech skills, work at correct speech intonation, pupils’ enlisting and participation in different types of speech activity and so on) and also controlling and evaluating conditions (systematic control of the whole work from both teacher’s and parents’ sides, timely correction of the educational process).
