The Danube Region – a Zone of Risky Agriculture

Abstract
Presence of unfavourable weather and climate conditions in agricultural production of the Lower Danube Region which have an adverse impact on the final crop yield is emphasized. In support, yield dynamics of the leading crop types within the last twelve years and evaluation of production instability are provided. The suggested interrelationships are vividly presented on graphs. Finally, a number of recommendations for increasing economic stability of cultivated crop types are provided.
