Modelling of Interference Processes in the Ukrainian Southern Bessarabia Dialects

Abstract


The article describes models of borrowings penetration in the Ukrainian Southern Bessarabia dialects spread in area between the Danube and the Dniester rivers. According borrowings from the Turkish language the author establishes such models as: the Turkish languages > the Bulgarian language > the Romanian language > the Ukrainian language; rarely – the Turkish languages > the Romanian language > the Ukrainian language; a modern model the Gagauz language > the Ukrainian language is also possible. According borrowings from the Bulgarian language the author establishes such models as: the Bulgarian language > the Romanian language > the Ukrainian language; the Bulgarian language > the Ukrainian language. Borrowings from the Romanian and Russian languages are mainly characterized by the direct penetration in the Ukrainian dialects according such models as: the Romanian literary language > the Ukrainian language; the Moldavian / Muntenian dialect of the Romanian language > the Ukrainian language; the Russian literary language > the Ukrainian language; the Lypovanian, Donskoy and other Russian dialects > the Ukrainian language.
