Styles of Communication

The main purpose of Styles of Communication is to show the unity existing within global diversity. The European Year of Intercultural Dialogue (2008) was the starting point of our joint research which has continued with the European Year of Creativity and Innovation (2009). As communication implies, besides the transfer of information to others and the decoding of the others’ messages, the production of meaning within (non)verbal texts/ objects, is closely connected to interculturality, creativity and innovation and it needs a refining of styles in order to avoid misunderstandings.
This journal is a plea for interdisciplinarity as its aim is to include different perspectives on cultural studies, coming from different fields, such as linguistics, semiotics, literature, political and sociological studies, communication, public relations, anthropology, translation studies etc.

Acta Universitatis Danubius. Administratio
The publication of a new journal Acta Universitatis Danubius. Administratio edited by Danubius University is more than welcomed. It continues university's tradition to publish one more in the Acta Universitatis Danubius Collection.
As we are now in a restructuring and consolidation process of the entire administrative system - the structure and officials - in order to connect the values of the European system, the publication of a new journal is a challenge for initiators and for collaborators as well, which are expected to develop their ideas for improving legislation, the practical activities of public administration, the act of justice in administrative litigation domain, public policy system, administrative management, etc.
The journal has the mission to distribute the results of scientific research of students, master and PhD students, professors of administrative sciences, the staff of local and central public administration institutions, the magistrates in order to preserve and promote the national elements, on one hand, and to assimilate the European element in the administrative system on the other hand.
The editorial board estimates that the assumed objectives of this journal could be achieved and the national and European cooperation would transform this goal into reality.
