Incomprehensible Sense of Orthodox Art (on the base of South of the Odessa region and Ukraine sacred painting)

Abstract


The author shares his spiritual experience of understanding the foundations of Orthodox art, obtained during the restoration of the church of St. Constantine and Elena (Izmail), as well as in-depth study of its beginnings. Drawing and composition in sacral painting, visual techniques, methods of introducing and creating an icon-painting image, decorative solution of space, local sounding of color, compression of space, as well as the reverse perspective, dynamic gaps in the image of the phenomenon of “Tabor’s Light” are considered as secrets of unique Оrthodox art.
