Types and Forms of Tourism
Abstract
For the study of tourism, the most suitable method from the geographic point of view is typify it, because it allows the delimitation of tourist areas. Tourist areas are characterized by a specific type of travel or by a reunion of some types that may vary dynamically over time. The types of tourism result mainly from the different motivations of the journey, i.e. the purpose of doing. Each type of tourism is distinguished by such specific purpose and it is specific to those regions where fixed purpose can be achieved by the existence of some specific facilities.
