Multi-Lingual Atlas of Dialects Spread Between the Danube and the Dniester Rivers: Sources and Tools of Creation

Abstract


The article deals with the problem of creation of “Multi-lingual atlas of dialects spread between the Danube and the Dniester rivers”. The author gives reasons for the necessity to prepare such investigation and to use dialectal texts and the questionnaire answers of bearers as a source of linguistic information about different languages (Ukrainian, Romanian, Russian, Bulgarian and Gagauz) and their dialects which would be represented in this atlas. The tools of mapping are also discussed.
