Easel and Monumental: to the Question of Concepts’ Content

Ganna Pankiv

Abstract

The article highlights the problem of complex disclosure of the patrimonial specificity of works of fine art. Both deep and broad concepts of the context of the development of easel and monumental (as well as decorative) art in whole do not have clear definitions of their essence, which lead to confusion in terminology and loss (dissolution) of the essence. The author calls for the formation of an integrated system for the presentation of elements of generic definitions. In the article, a three-aspect gradation of generic characteristics is formed as a basis for determining the synthesis of the dominant manifestations of the indices of the three generic groups.
