Urban Space in Essays of Yuri Andrukhovych (Based on the Book “Lexicon of Intimate Cities”)
Abstract
The following article is about features of urban imaginary in essays of Yuri Andrukhovych. The object of the research is his essay collection “Lexicon of Intimate Cities”, published in 2011. Features of creating images of European, American and Ukrainian cities are analyzed based on abilities of essays as discursive practices. Conclusions are made about urban preferences of the writer and his essay mastery.
